SENCo Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of SEND provision across the alternative provision
- Coordinate EHCP applications, reviews, and annual meetings
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and the local authority (Hillingdon Borough)
- Support and train staff on inclusive practice and differentiation
- Ensure the SEN school remains compliant with all statutory SEN requirements
- Drive high-quality interventions and promote best practice across the curriculum
Ideal SENCo Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO)
- Has proven leadership experience in an SEN or alternative provision setting
- Deep understanding of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education
- Strong communicator, able to work collaboratively with multi-agency teams
- Values-driven, passionate about transforming lives through education
